Dr. Hamid Izadi
General Surgeon - M.D., M.Sc., F.R.C.S.
Dr. Izadi is a skilled and caring general surgeon, specializing in a variety of procedures. His practice focuses on intra-abdominal operations (colon cancer surgery, gallbladder removal, bowel obstruction, as well as other cancers and diseases of abdominal organs). Dr. Izadi repairs complex, recurrent and very large hernias, and offers laparoscopic inguinal hernia repair, which has been shown to reduce pain and hasten recovery. In addition, he treats patients with skin cancers and soft tissue masses, as well as offers diagnostic and therapeutic gastroscopy and colonoscopy for a variety of gastrointestinal conditions.
Dr. Izadi obtained his medical degree from the University of Toronto, and completed his general surgery residency at the University of British Columbia. Prior to his medical degree, he also completed a Bachelor of Science, and a Master’s degree in Biochemistry at the University of Waterloo.
